LuM Lighting Design worked with the Dallas office of CallisonRTKL, Panama-based Grupo Roble and Dallas-based WaterMark Design Studio on the design of a new Hotel Real InterContinental in San Salvador, El Salvador. This 171 room luxury hotel located at the popular Multiplaza San Salvador development, offers 63,000 SF of amenity space including a full service spa, 3 restaurant/bars with indoor and outdoor seating, lobby and lounge spaces, ballroom/event venues with outdoor terraces, guest club/louge, elevated pool deck with infinity edge pool and views of the city. Lighting elements mirrored the architectural elements in priority and detail throughout the building. A fully automated pre-set dimming system was designed to control all public spaces on an astronomic timeclock while event venues and conferencing spaces have the ability to be locally controlled for flexibility and user needs.
